Privacy & POPIA Notice
TAKOA Transporters is the trading name of Tinashe Transport Group. Personal-information enquiries may be sent to takoatransport@gmail.com for the head of the private body / authorised Information Officer.
TAKOA uses the contact and journey information you submit to review your enquiry, respond to you and manage your request. Requests are not confirmed bookings until TAKOA confirms availability. Request information is stored in TAKOA’s operational database and is available only to authenticated staff. Automated request emails are sent through Resend.
Information and service providers
Information may include customer and organisation contacts, journey dates and stops, passenger or learner counts, school and area details, parcel sender/recipient contacts and item descriptions, enquiry details, staff notes and processing statuses. Only provide details you are authorised to share. No public customer accounts or online card-payment processing are provided.
Railway hosts the application, PostgreSQL operational database and file storage. Resend delivers transactional emails. AutoM8 provides technical development/support under authorised access; the separate POPIA operator agreement is a private contractual document, not a public website agreement. Service providers may process information outside South Africa. Access is restricted by private staff sessions and roles; these measures are not an absolute security guarantee.
Your information rights
Contact TAKOA to ask about access, correction, objection or deletion of your personal information under applicable POPIA requirements. Identity or authority may need to be verified and lawful retention or refusal grounds may apply. Information is retained for operational, security and applicable legal purposes; ask TAKOA about the retention applicable to your records. You may also raise privacy concerns with South Africa’s Information Regulator. For records-access enquiries, see PAIA / Information Access.
Acquisition information
Where available, a request records the landing-page path, referring site/page and campaign tags (utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign). These help identify the enquiry source. They are not operational request counts from Google. Browser session storage preserves this first-visit context; essential Admin session cookies protect staff access.
Optional Google Analytics
Analytics is disabled when no Measurement ID is configured, and otherwise remains disabled until you choose “Allow analytics”. Declining does not prevent browsing, contacting TAKOA or submitting a request. If enabled with your consent, Google Analytics receives service-category views, request starts/completions and phone, WhatsApp and email click counts. Google also processes browser/device information, IP information and pseudonymous cookie identifiers. This may involve processing outside South Africa. We do not include names, contact details, organisations, journey locations, notes or TAK request references in analytics events. URL query strings and referrer details are excluded from GA event context.
Your choice
Your choice is remembered in this browser for up to 180 days. You can withdraw consent below; this stops future application events and removes accessible first-party Google Analytics cookies. It does not delete data already processed by Google or TAKOA. Browser storage restrictions may prevent your choice being remembered.
Privacy enquiries
Use the verified details on the Contact page to ask TAKOA about your request or personal information. This notice describes the implementation; it is not a legal-compliance guarantee.
